Kepong Chinese Methodist Church is a community church committed to serving the spiritual and social needs of the surrounding community.
Established in 1984, our church has stood as a beacon of faith, love, and care, offering a nurturing environment for individuals and families on their journey of spiritual growth.
Mission Statement
Our mission is to be disciples of the Lord, following the great commandment of loving God and loving others, and fulfilling the great commission of spreading the gospel to glorify God and transform lives and society.
Goals
We encourage everyone to flourish in their faith journey. We firmly believe that by embracing God’s love, showing kindness to one another, and caring for our neighbours, we can manifest the glory of God and help our fellow church members to find spiritual fulfilment on their faith journey.
Historical Footprints
March 14, 1984
On March 14, 1984, KCMC was established (originally as a preaching point by the Kuala Lumpur Chinese Methodist Church). The inaugural Sunday service took place in two terrace houses in Kepong Baru, with 61 worshippers in attendance.
January 14, 1990
On January 14, 1990, Kepong Chinese Methodist Church (Preaching Point) was formally organized as a church, with an official membership of 117 churchgoers.
January 13, 1991
On January 13, 1991, Melawati Chinese Methodist Church was established as a Preaching Point by KCMC, and on January 1, 2001, it was officially recognized as a church.
April 2, 1995
On April 2, 1995, Selayang Chinese Methodist Church (Preaching Point) was established by KCMC, and on January 1, 2006, it became a church.
May 20, 1997
On May 20, 1997, Rawang Country Homes Chinese Methodist Church (Preaching Point) was established by KCMC, and on August 13, 2016, it became a church.
July 8, 2007
On July 8, 2007, Sungai Buloh Chinese Methodist Church (Preaching Point) was established by KCMC, and on January 1, 2015, it became a church.
September 25, 2007
On September 25, 2007, Chinese Methodist Church Jinjang (Preaching Point) was established by KCMC, and on January 1, 2013, it became a church.
May 22, 2016
On May 22, 2016, the Kundang Chinese Methodist Chapel was established, now under the jurisdiction of the Sungai Buloh Chinese Methodist Church.
February 28, 2021
On February 28, 2021, the BSC Chinese Methodist Church (Preaching Point) was established.
